My Story

I graduated in 1989 with a degree in Fashion Design from FIDM [Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising]. For a decade, I worked at many clothing companies as a pattern maker. Some of them include Pantasia, Aqua blues (David Wayne), Frank Char, Esprit, Story book, Blanc Noir, Nomadic Traders and many more. After feeling a bit burnt out from the corporate world, I decided to take a chance and start my own pattern making business. I founded Yorkland Productions in 1998 so I could have a productive outlet for my creativity. I realized that even though large companies have their own in-house professional pattern makers, many other small boutique owners usually create their own and need help. I found a small office space on 2nd and Harrison and started providing my skills to local, smaller, independent shops. Since then, we’ve grown and moved offices several times, and most recently found a home thanks to SFMade, at 150 Hooper Street. We love our new space here! This great location also comes with a stunning view of San Francisco!

As a professional pattern maker, I make sure to stay current with the latest trends and am constantly on the search for inspiration so that I can provide my clients with modern and stylish design ideas. From conceptualization to the final outcome, each design process is completely unique and tailored to suit the specific needs of the client. Get in touch with us to find out how we can help you with your apparel needs!
